Made blackberry cobbler for dessert.
The recipe was stuck together, so my Mom had said something on the phone about steam.
So...
I tried it.
And got a steam burn.
GRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And the worst part was...
It didn't even work!!!!
*SOB!!!!!*
Ok...
Back to blackberries....
I don't like them.
I don't like raspberries, either.
Nor blueberries.
Nor boysenberries, I think.
Definately not poisenberries.
And I haven never tried ANY form of jamberries.
:-)
Have any of you ever read Jamberry?
It is a board book.
Quite fun.
The Steward recommended it to my mom at a booksale.
Guess who he is...
And guess why...

Seventeen.
Ok, I got your hint, Alothe.
:-)
Ok...
What should I write about?
My books?
The library program?
My books -
I am currently reading a book by Arthur Ransome. It is called...umm...just a second...Winter Holiday.
No, it is NOT boring.
It is fourth in a series called Swallows and Amazons. The series (so far) is basically about theSwallows (the four oldest Walker children: Captain John, First Mate Susan, Able Seaman Titty, and the Ship's Boy Roger) and the Amazons (the Blackett girls: Captain Nancy and First Mate Peggy) and their adventures.
Wouldn't you know that my dad picked up the third one, and informed us that the author had also written some books on flyfishing that he hadn't been able to find. My dad hadn't been able to find them, that is.
:-)
I'm also reading Sherlock Holmes. I trust you all know enough about that, so I don't have to explain it.
:-)
Library program-
Scavenger hunt.
Sarah and I were on a team with two other nice girls.
We were given a limerick which we had to solve, which led us to an envelope with another limerick, and so on until we found a riddle.
The riddle was "If your dog was eating a library book, what would you do?"
Hah.
I'll give you a hint...
The answer is thirty letters long.
Please try to solve it. You can ask your family members if you want to.
Oh, and there are no "b's", "y's", or "c's"
There is one "f", One "m", and one "w"
Try it.
Oh, and the title.
How many hours I need to read before Wednesday.
Wish me luck!
:-)

Countess of the Gutter!
My bowling title.
Isn't it lovely?
Thursday, we had VBS in the morning.
Then, after the kids had all left, the helpers were let in on the first of our three locations for the afternoon.
CiCi's Pizza.
Yum.
The girls got a table, and the boys got a table. Or should I say girlies and boylies?
:-)
Second location.
"By popular demand of one oof the helpers..."
We went to the library program featuring a magician.
Then our third destination...
The bowling lanes!
HAHA!
MUCH better than watching a movie.
Except for one small detail.
For about half of the first game, I was stuck with 13 points.
I mostly got gutterballs.
Hence...
My title.
I should have gottem off before, but I'll leave you with something that the pastor said...
"Bowling Ball Man. Cape snagged in ball return."

Soimething for Missy
Missy, this post is for you...
Because everybody else reading already knows about it!
:-)
Oh, and everybody else will probably write blogposts about this, too. Their's will probably be longer and more interesting.
Oh well.
The morning of VBS.
I ended up being a team leader for the oldest group, which, incidently, ende up being all girls. Alothe Ilisse (pardon me if I spell it wrong) and Perv were the two other team leaders.
So, we did crafts, taught today by a lady from Church, then, memory verse, taught by A.L. and Sister1, and last, but certainly m=not least, Bible time, taught by the pastor.
Then was snack and recreation/games time.
Then everybody but the helpers left.
Pretty much.
We ate lunch, and then played Scattergory. Or something along those lines. Anyway, we divided into teams, and Perv and I got the Intern!
:-)
We asked for him.
We then went to the Church office, and did the usual talking.
THEN, we went door-to-door.
I think you all know how that goes.
Then we went home.
That pretty much sums things up.
Oh, and if anyone wants to see the short (less than a page) essay/paper thingy I wrote a couple of years ago on going door-to-door, just let me know.

Nothing much
***********************************************************
Fifty stars. One for each person that they have discovered who died in the London bombings.
Speaking of London, they were chosen to host 2012 Olympics the day before.
Oh, and by the way. The car wash. The Intern. The Intern being squirted with water by the Box.
It was my idea.
Evil grin.

What I did today and what I learned.
I attended a beef cooking class. Never stir a pot on the stove with plastic gloves on. They can melt.
I watched the Incredibles at the Library. The audience wasn't the best.
My dad taught me how to grill. I learned how to grill.
Now for another thing.
Sister2 won a shirt at the drawing. So did the Box, a friend of Boromir. It was the Box's second.

Lavagirl is sooooo hard to kill!!!
Actually, A.L., nothing THAT good that would interest you.
:-)
Sorry for being away for so long!
Lavagirl...or Firegirl as Boromir and Aragorn's littlest sister named her.
It was a toy.
Notice I said WAS.
It goes like this...
Boromir and Aragorn's family (maybe I should call them the Gondorians. Hmm...*smiles*) live inside city limits and can't shoot off fireworks. So they came over to our house and shot them off Monday morning.
Apparently is a tradition/hobby for Boromir and Aragorn to try to blow up/destroy/explode/what ever toys they do not like on July 4th.
Lavagirl was a McDonalds toy that their youngest sister got. She didn't like it.
So they decided to 'dispose' of it.
Well, the army men went GREAT.
But...
Lavagirl had this little thing that would light up if you pushed a button.
They tried to blow her up...
It still light up.
They took her head off (I helped) and taped a smoke bomb in place of it.
Still light up.
Took off a leg and an arm and stuffed her in a crevice with a smoke bomb.
Light up.
Did various other things, including taping her in a package of firecrackers and trying to create our own little Pyre of Denethor scene.
LIGHT UP!!!
Finally, Boromir took the lighter, and...
Well, I won't go into the details...
But, she finally stopped lighting up.
All I can say is...
We've got to give McDonalds more credit.
:-)
